Art in Ministry Case Study

While attending a college for Lutheran pastors and teachers, I noticed that not enough emphasis was placed on art education. Many teachers and pastors are missing out on the church’s rich history of art and how they can use art and design in their ministries.

In May 2024, I created Art in Ministry (AIM), an online resource for art education and advocacy, as my capstone project. Not only was it an exercise in branding (including a logo and promotional materials like stickers, magnets, buttons, pencils, notebooks, and a trade booth) but I also designed the website, animated a promotional video, and have started to fill the website with interviews from artists and educators in the field. Later that year I presented at a conference for creatives about Art in Ministry. I’m excited to see how this resource progresses in the years to come.
