AI manipulation
As I consider the role AI will play on the future of design, it occurs to me that this tool can help a greater number of people express themselves visually. We all have the gift of imagination, but not all of us have honed the skills needed to share our ideas with the world. Perhaps AI can help us bridge the gap between imagination and reality.
Unfortunately, since it’s so easy to “create” with AI, it can easily be abused as a way to make money by spamming stock image sites. When an image is only considered for SEO and not for quality, beauty, or even accuracy, it ceases to be an image and is reduced to the code that made it.
My contribution as an artist and designer is simple: Give me your AI image, and I will fix it up so that it can stand on its own two (not three or seven) feet. I have three tiers of edits which I can offer:
Tier 1:
Correct number of fingers and toes. Gibberish letters are changed to real text. (1-2 day turnaround)
Tier 2:
The image is fine-tuned to be closer to your vision. Simple elements added. (About a week turnaround)
Tier 3:
Using your AI image as a base, I construct an original illustration to bring your vision fully to life. (1-5 months depending on complexity)
