The organizers of the 2024 Lutheran Women Missionary Society Convention in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, needed banners for the local district congregations to display.
I created three templates for the churches to choose from as a general direction of what kind of assets they would need to send me as well as a base for the design.
Once the churches chose their template and sent me their files, I placed them into the banner design in a way that highlighted the best aspects and reflected their brand. Since many of these were small country churches, they didn’t always have access to the highest quality photos or logos, so I used AI plugins to reduce jpg artifacts as much as possible and created vector versions of their logos for better scalability.
LWMS Banners Case Study
All the posters were submitted to the printer by the deadline, and at the end, the conference organizers asked if they could pass my name on to the head office for future conferences, and asked me to consider serving on the LWMS Communications Committee.
I’ve now had the privilege of donating my time on the LWMS Communications Committee for the 2024-2027 term, during which my duties include formatting the monthly newsletter and creating designs for campaigns as needed.
